About
Of Virtue have been one of the steadier names in American metalcore since forming in Lansing, Michigan in 2008, building their catalog through four full lengths and a handful of EPs. Their sound sits firmly in the metalcore lane, with dual vocal and guitar work from Tyler Ennis and Damon Tate driving much of the energy. After a stint on SharpTone Records, they moved to European heavy music powerhouse Arising Empire in 2022, releasing the Sinner EP that same year as a statement of intent. Their 2023 album Omen marked their fourth studio effort and continued the band's knack for blending heavy riffs with emotionally charged songwriting. Tracks like "A.N.X.I.E.T.Y." and "Cannibals" showed they haven't lost any edge. More recently the band has kept the momentum going with new material including "Death of the Altar" and "The Art of Love", suggesting the Omen era is giving way to something new.
