About
Oh Voyage is a Rotterdam based Turkish duo whose music blurs the line between Anatolian folk traditions and electronic production. Their sound pulls from the streets of Istanbul and channels it through analogue synthesizers, drum machines and an array of live instruments, landing somewhere between ancient and dancefloor ready. The result is a kind of sonic bridge between cultures, emotionally charged and hard to pin down to a single genre. They have performed in major cities around the world, and their live shows have a reputation for leaving crowds genuinely moved, whether those crowds already know their music or are hearing it for the first time. Their approach treats traditional Anatolian music not as a museum piece but as living material, something to be pushed, reshaped and taken somewhere new.
