About
Also known as: Olga Paschchenko, Olga Paschenko, Olga Pashchenko
Olga Pashchenko is one of those rare musicians who moves fluently between harpsichord, fortepiano, organ and modern piano, bringing genuine depth to each. The Moscow born performer has stacked up an impressive competition record, including first prizes at the Circulo Bach Competition in Madrid and the International Fortepiano Competition Premio Ferrari in Rovereto, plus a second prize and audience prize at the prestigious International Bach Competition in Leipzig. She studied with Richard Egarr at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, graduating with the highest honours on both fortepiano and harpsichord. Her debut album, Transitions, featuring music by Dussek, Beethoven and Mendelssohn, landed on the Belgian label Fuga Libera in 2013 and picked up a ffff from the French magazine Télérama, which is about as good as it gets. A second album of Beethoven sonatas and variations followed on the Alpha label the same year. She has performed at major early music festivals across Europe, from the Festival Oude Muziek in the Netherlands to the Mostra Fortepiano Bergamo in Italy.
