The Oost Gelders Symfonie Orkest, known by its initials OGSO, is a symphony orchestra that puts together varied programmes mixing well loved classics with more unexpected choices. Their repertoire spans the dramatic and the playful: Beethoven's Egmont Overture sits comfortably alongside the danceable energy of Arturo Márquez's Danzón No. 2, while Schumann's Symphony No. 4 and Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D represent the warmer, more lyrical side of the orchestral canon. The OGSO also has a feel for seasonal and atmospheric programming. A Christmas concert in their repertoire takes in Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite, Grieg's Symphonic Dances, Frederick Delius's impressionistic Sleigh Ride, and Leroy Anderson's A Christmas Festival, each piece given its own character within the programme. The orchestra has performed alongside soloists including violinist Razvan Stoica.
