About
Other Roads is a folk trio split between England and Scotland, and they've spent more than a decade building a name on the circuit. Most of their songs are written and composed by the band themselves: story driven numbers made for listening, with ballads that sometimes drop the instruments entirely and go a capella in three part harmony. The instrument table is a busy one. Fiddle, bouzouki, mandolin and a whole range of guitars all get a turn, so a set can swing from quiet, tender ballads to fast Celtic fiddle tunes without losing the thread. They're regulars in theatres across Europe, and they make a yearly trip to tour New Zealand as well. The trio had been going for thirteen years at the time of the source copy.
