About
Also known as: Sparky's Flaw
Parachute started out as Sparky's Flaw before settling into their current name and a sound that sits squarely in the pop rock lane. Their 2009 debut Losing Sleep put them on the map, with "She Is Love" eventually going platinum and "Under Control" getting enough traction to land on Nivea's national TV campaign. They shared the New Year's Eve stage in Times Square with Taylor Swift and the Jonas Brothers in front of over a million people, which is a solid way to announce yourself. Each album nudged the band a little further along. The Way It Was debuted at number 19 on the Billboard 200, and Overnight reached as high as number 15 on the same chart, their best showing yet. The third record also showed a willingness to experiment, with "Can't Help", co written with Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, earning a slot on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Their 2016 album Wide Awake hit number one on iTunes' pop chart and racked up over 50 million Spotify streams.
