Berlin rapper Pashanim, real name Can David Bayram, broke through in a big way in 2020 when "Airwaves" hit number two on the German charts, arriving just months after "Shababs botten" had gone viral on TikTok. His sound sits in that sweet spot where trap, pop rap, and melodic hip hop overlap, and his debut album 2000 finally dropped in June 2024 after singles like Mittelmeer and Florenz built up the anticipation. What makes Pashanim a bit of a rare breed is that he also operates behind the camera. He has shot music videos for established German artists including Juju, Nura, and Casper, and directed his own visuals for tracks like "Airwaves" and "Shababs botten". He came up through the rap collective Playboysmafia, which he co founded in 2017, and has kept releasing music steadily, including the EP Grünewürfelflow and the mixtape junge ceos 1, both in 2025.
