Pati Yang has spent her career moving across a remarkable range of sonic territory, from intimate singer songwriter work to electronic experimentation and film scoring. The Polish artist released her debut album Jaszczurka on Sony Music Poland in 1998, then shifted toward electronic music through her duo Children with Stephen Dean Hilton, who later became her long term collaborator under the name FlyKKiller. That project earned serious attention in the UK, landing BBC 6 Music's Single of the Week and being called the second most important breakthrough act of 2007 by Times Magazine. Her solo albums Silent Treatment and Faith, Hope + Fury both charted in Poland, and her voice appears across 13 film soundtracks, including Michael Winterbottom's Code 46 and A Mighty Heart. More recently she has moved into sound healing and installation art, channeling her interest in resonance and auditory experience through an experimental project called Noirmoutier.
