About
Patrice Michaud has quietly built one of the more decorated careers in Quebec songwriting. His song "Mécaniques générales" won the SOCAN Songwriting Prize in the French division in 2014, and he has kept collecting trophies ever since. His 2014 album Le Feu de chaque jour led to a Prix Félix for best concert performance by a solo artist after he took it on the road. The real breakthrough came with 2017's Almanach, his third record. It made him a Juno finalist for Francophone Album of the Year, and it brought two Félix wins that year, one for Male Vocalist and one for Song of the Year with "Kamikaze". It also got him a nod at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. In 2018 he took home Male Singer of the Year at the ADISQ gala. His debut, Le Triangle des Bermudes, came out in 2011, and his fourth album, Grand voyage désorganisé, followed in 2021.
