About
Patrick Yandall is a smooth jazz guitarist based in San Diego who has quietly built one of the more interesting careers in the genre, landing songs in films like Fruitvale Station and War, Inc. while racking up chart time on smooth jazz radio. His single "Tower of Soul" spent five weeks at number one on the Smooth Jazz Now chart, and his album Eyes of Mars made the Jazz Times list of top albums of the season. He works as a session musician across San Diego, Los Angeles, New York, and New Jersey, and his music has turned up on The Weather Channel's Local on the 8s segments, which means more people have heard him than they probably realize. His album From the Ashes featured Randy Brecker, Will Lee, and Joel Rosenblatt, and more recently his records Rouge River and Chasing the Lights both earned nominations at the San Diego Music Awards.
