Peach Tree Rascals are a five piece collective out of San Jose, California, blending alternative jazz, funk, and hip hop in a way that pulls from Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, the Beatles, and John Mayer all at once. The group is built around singer rappers Issac Pech, Tarrek Abdel Khaliq, and Joseph Barros, with producer Dom Pizano and creative director Jorge Olazaba rounding things out. They started putting out music in 2018, and the name came together on a camping trip when one member floated "Peach Tree Village" and another swapped "village" for "rascals." Their 2019 track "Mariposa" is what really put them on the map, racking up over 1.6 million TikTok videos and landing them features on New Music Friday and coverage from Billboard, Pigeons and Planes, and MTV. That momentum led to a deal with 10K Projects in 2020, and the group relocated from San Jose to Los Angeles around the same time.
