Pedro Mendez Trio builds its sound around original compositions by Mendez, pulling from a wide range of influences: classical music, hiphop, free improvisation and contemporary jazz all feed into the mix. The trio moves fluidly between minimalist textures and dense soundscapes, carving out a distinctive sonic space that resists easy categorisation. They formed in 2024 and have since been working intensively toward a debut album, developing a set of new compositions that show just how quickly the group has found its footing.
