About
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Mizutani is a singer songwriter whose music sits at the crossroads of bossa nova tradition and the realities of being young in a city like Rio. He draws on the work of bossa nova pioneers including João Gilberto, Nara Leão, Baden Powell and João Donato, weaving those influences into songs that explore the beauty and complexity of growing up. He first built an audience by posting videos on TikTok, which caught the attention of indie label Nice Guys Records. His tracks, sung in Portuguese, include "Eu Pensei" and "Chorar Na Beira Do Mar", both recorded with Skinshape, as well as "Chuva De Verão" and "Melhor Se Acostumar".
