About
Also known as: 정동욱, 페노메코
Penomeco built his reputation in the South Korean rap scene as part of Fanxy Child, the hip hop crew he shares with Zico, Crush, Dean, Millic and Stay Tuned. He broke through on the broader public radar by winning Mnet's music battle show Breakers in 2018, the same year he put out his debut EP Garden. His sound leans into a smooth, introspective take on K rap, and that sensibility runs through his later releases too. The Rorschach series in 2023, split across two parts, showed a more conceptual side to his artistry. After wrapping up a stint with P Nation, he signed with EGO Group in 2024 and released his fourth EP Organic2, also setting up his own brand label called if i under that imprint.
