About
Born in Kosovo, Petrit Çeku is regarded as one of the leading classical guitarists of his generation, with a competition record and critical reputation to match. His discography includes a recording of Bach's Cello Suites arranged for guitar, no small feat given how much those works demand from any instrument. In concert he ranges freely across styles and periods, drawing on composers from Bach and Debussy to Rodrigo and Paganini, and bringing out a wide palette of colour and texture from the six strings. He has performed both as a soloist and as part of the trio Elogio, showing an equal ease in chamber settings.
