About
Picture Me Broken started out as Lane Four, a name built from the first initials of the original four members, before a few lineup changes and a shift in sound led to the new name. Fronted by vocalist and keyboardist Layla Brooklyn Allman, the Redwood City band went from playing covers to writing their own material, and PureVolume ranked them among the top unsigned bands of 2009. That same year they picked up an MTV Video Music Award for Best Breakout Bay Area Artist. Their catalogue is compact: the EP Dearest, I'm So Sorry, the album Wide Awake, and the four song Mannequins EP produced by David Bendeth. Music videos for "Live Forever", "Dearest (I'm So Sorry)", "Torture" and "Mannequins" helped spread the word. In 2013 they were the sole opening act on the Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson Masters of Madness tour, a big stage for a band that was still unsigned. They have been on a touring hiatus since 2014.
