About
Planken koorts are a pirate folk band with a flair for the theatrical. Armed with a wide range of instruments and a healthy dose of stagecraft, they take audiences on seafaring adventures built around original lyrics set to familiar songs. Their shows weave together themes of treasure hunts, mythical sea monsters and rowdy celebrations, all delivered with energy and plenty of humour. The band is semi acoustic and plays an eclectic mix of venues, from concert stages to living rooms and neighbourhood cafes. Whatever the setting, the pirate costumes and the salty sea breeze atmosphere tend to follow them in.
