About
Poison the Well built their reputation on a ferocious blend of metalcore and post hardcore out of Coral Springs, Florida, with vocalist Jeffrey Moreira's brutal screams sitting alongside surprisingly melodic passages. That contrast became their signature, and it runs through all six of their studio albums, which together sold over 300,000 copies in the United States by 2012. Guitarist Ryan Primack and drummer Chris Hornbrook are the only founding members who stuck around through the full run, while Moreira appeared on every record the band put out. After going on hiatus in 2010, they came back for shows in 2015, 2016, and again in 2020, with that last reunion turning into something permanent. The comeback eventually produced Peace in Place, their first studio album in 17 years, released in 2026. It's a long wait rewarded for anyone who grew up on the chaotic energy of records like The Opposite of December or Tear From the Red.
