About
Prozak, the stage name of Steven T. Shippy, is one of the few rappers of Assyrian descent working in American hip hop, which alone makes him a distinctive figure in the independent scene. He signed with Strange Music in 2011, though he had already been releasing albums with the label before making it official. Beyond rapping, he co founded the groups Project:Deadman with Mike E. Clark and Bedlam with Madness and Staplez. His creative output stretches well past music: he has directed music videos, including Tech N9ne's Bout ta Bubble, and leads a paranormal investigation crew that has produced a long running series of haunted location films under the SEEKERS banner, with entries released annually across Michigan locations from 2010 through at least 2019.
