About
Also known as: Queen Naija Bulls
Queen Naija built her following on YouTube long before the music industry came calling, which makes her story a little different from most R&B artists working today. Her 2017 single "Medicine" hit hard enough to crack the Billboard Hot 100 top 50 entirely on its own momentum, racking up over 248 million views on YouTube and earning double platinum from the RIAA. That independent buzz landed her a Capitol Records deal in 2018, and she followed up with "Karma" and "Butterflies", both also double platinum, ahead of her self titled EP peaking at number 26 on the Billboard 200. Her debut album Missunderstood dropped in 2020 with a stacked guest list that included Lucky Daye, Russ, Kiana Ledé and Lil Durk, and it climbed to number nine on the Billboard 200. The project pulled in three RIAA Gold singles and earned an American Music Awards nomination the following year. The deluxe edition added features from Ari Lennox and J.I the Prince of N.Y, stretching the project even further. Her songwriting stays rooted in personal experience, covering heartbreak, self worth and new love with a directness that keeps fans coming back.
