About
Ray Volpe is the dubstep and bass producer whose fans call him "Volpetron," a nickname borrowed from his own producer tag. His sound mixes heavy drops with melodic touches and his own vocals, and it has picked up support from Excision, DJ Snake and Illenium. He was named Best New Artist of 2023 at the Electronic Dance Music Awards, after being tapped as part of EDM.com's Class of 2022. The track that really lit the fuse was "Laserbeam." It was the most played song at EDC Las Vegas in 2022, hit number one on Beatport's dubstep chart and on iTunes' electronic chart, and made it onto two Billboard dance charts. 1001tracklists ranked it the most played dubstep track of that year, and Beatport called it the best selling one. Hardwell and Chris Lake have both remixed it. Later hits include "Happy Song," a collaboration with Marshmello, "See You Drop" and "Song Request," which blew up on TikTok and Reels. He also headlines his own audio and visual production, Volpeverse.
