Reinier Zonneveld (NL)

About

Reinier Zonneveld runs his live sets the way most producers wouldn't dare: no DJ mixer, no playlists, just drum machines and synthesizers and fully improvised techno in real time. The Dutch artist built his reputation on that approach, and it's what sets him apart in a genre packed with laptop acts. He founded his own label, Filth on Acid, in 2017, and it has grown into one of the best selling and most streamed techno labels around. His third album Church of Clubmusic came out in 2019, and he has since released Heaven is Mad (for You) on the same label. In 2023 he broke the world record for the longest electronic music live set, playing for 11 hours and 11 minutes at his own Karren Maar Festival in Arnhem. His first appearance in DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll placed him at number 22.
