Remy Le Boeuf moves between jazz, classical, and indie rock with a fluency that's hard to pin down, and the New York Times summed it up simply as 'evocative.' He leads the jazz orchestra Assembly of Shadows, which earned him Grammy nominations in 2021 for Best Instrumental Composition and Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella, and again in 2023 for his album Architecture of Storms. He eventually took home the Grammy for Best Instrumental Composition in 2026 for 'First Snow.' Along with his twin brother Pascal, he co leads Le Boeuf Brothers, a modern jazz group the two have been building for years. As a sideman he has worked with Bob Mintzer's Big Band, Donny McCaslin, Prefuse 73, and Haim, among others, and he has received commissions from SFJAZZ, the Jerome Foundation, and the New York Youth Symphony. Since 2022 he has been Director of Jazz and Commercial Music Studies at the University of Denver's Lamont School of Music.
