Residentie Kamerkoor
Residentie Kamerkoor has one upcoming show in the Netherlands: on October 31, 2026 at Kloosterkerk, Den Haag.
About
Residentie Kamerkoor is a Dutch chamber choir that regularly takes on sacred and reflective repertoire, and its All Souls programmes are a good example. Past concerts have paired Eleanor Daley's 1993 Requiem, a Canadian work that mixes traditional requiem and biblical texts with modern poetry, with Bach's motet Jesu, meine Freude, which sets the peace of a world to come against the raging of this one. Elgar's part song They are at rest and a Sweelinck setting of Psalm 91 have also found a place in the same kind of programme. The choir likes to build evenings around a theme rather than just a list of pieces. For its remembrance concerts it brings in solo singers, a cellist and an organist, and has spoken texts woven between the music so the programme works as one whole. Its conductor for these concerts has been Rodrigo Lluch, and it is closely tied to the Residentie Bachensembles.
