About
Also known as: Rochelle Fearon
Rochelle Jordan blends alternative R&B with dance pop and house in a way that feels genuinely her own. The British Jamaican singer built an early following through YouTube covers, which caught the attention of producer KLSH in 2009 and led to a string of mixtapes starting with Alien Phase in 2010. Her debut album 1021 arrived in 2014, written and recorded in her bedroom after she relocated to Los Angeles, but the record deal that followed turned out to be a rough experience that left her dealing with serious depression on top of ongoing health issues. She eventually landed on Young Art, the label run by producer Tokimonsta, and after a seven year gap she returned with Play with the Changes in 2021. Her third album Through the Wall followed in 2025 and earned a shortlist spot for the Polaris Music Prize.
