About
ROM koor has been bringing people together through choral music for forty years, which is no small thing. The choir performs a wide repertoire that takes in film music alongside more traditional choral work, and their productions blend live singing with instrumental accompaniment and theatrical visuals. Their concert programme "Meesterwerken in muziek" is a good example of what they do: a stage show that pairs choral pieces drawn from the history of film music with visual scenes designed by director Merijn Oerlemans. Ferdinand Beuse conducts the ensemble. The combination of voices, live musicians and stagecraft gives their performances a quality closer to theatre than a conventional choir concert.
