Ronald Jenkees built his fanbase the old fashioned internet way: uploading keyboard videos to YouTube, greeting viewers with his signature "Hello YouTubes!", and letting word spread organically. A boost from ESPN's Bill Simmons and a wave of StumbleUpon traffic turned those early clips into something real, and over 88 million views later, he is still very much at it. His music spans a wide range, from electronic and hip hop to rock, built around pianos, keyboards, and PC controlled synthesizers, with harmonica showing up on his slower tracks. He has put out five proper studio albums, the most recent being Rhodes Deep in 2017, plus a jam along release and a 2025 collection of remastered singles spanning nearly a decade of work. A selection of his early music even ended up as the soundtrack for the PC game Before the Echo, and if you ever called Google in North America in 2015, you heard his music on hold.
