About
Roog has been a fixture in the international house scene since the late 1990s, and his fingerprints are on some of the most recognisable projects Dutch dance music has produced. Together with Erick E he built Housequake into a global concept with appearances at major festivals including Sensation White. His other longstanding project, Hardsoul, a collaboration with his brother Greg van Bueren, brought soulful and latin house to a wide audience. Between the two he helped shape what Dutch house sounds like for an entire generation of DJs who came after him. What sets his DJ sets apart is a habit of working with his own edits and acapellas, which gives his performances a sound you are unlikely to hear anywhere else. He plays funky house and disco house, and his ability to keep a dancefloor moving across a long set has earned him a reputation well beyond the Netherlands.
