About
Roza Herwig is a singer who moves easily between opera, art song recitals, music theatre and oratorio. She trained at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London and has won prizes internationally. Her voice gets described as warm, and she's known for the way she throws herself into a song and holds a stage. She has worked with orchestras including the NKO, Phion and the Bauhaus Band. Her programmes like to mix worlds: Bach and Beethoven sit alongside Gershwin and Ramses Shaffy, with room for both a smile and a tear. She often performs with her cellist Joshua Herwig, who brings jazz and folk into classical music, and with the pianist Julius Backer.
