Ruben Croes

About

Ruben Croes is a guitarist turned songwriter and producer from Dordrecht, where he grew up in the Oud Krispijn neighbourhood. He plays guitar, bass and drums, and he put in the hours as a guitarist for other people first, working with Alain Clark, Typhoon and Ntjam Rosie after studying at a music and dance school in Rotterdam. Since 2014 he has also been writing and producing, and that shift shaped the music he makes under his own name. His songs draw on personal stories and lessons he has picked up along the way, with a clear interest in connection, awareness and how people treat each other and the world around them. A debut album is in the works.
