About
Rue Oberkampf is a darkwave duo from Munich with a soft spot for analog gear. They build their sound from a mix of analog and digital instruments, pairing immersive rhythms with electronic textures that sit somewhere between cold wave, EBM and post punk. One of the more unusual things about them is the language switching. Lyrics move between French, English and German, which gives the music a slightly restless, international feel. The result is dark but never static: it's the kind of sound you can brood to and dance to in the same breath.
