Rylo Rodriguez built his name by flipping familiar melodies into something entirely his own. Tracks like "Project Baby" rework Mariah Carey and Tamia samples into raw street narratives, which became something of a signature move early on. Based out of Mobile, Alabama, he linked up with Lil Baby and landed a deal with 4PF and Virgin Records in 2020, the same year his debut album G.I.H.F. (Goat In Human Form) dropped and cracked the Billboard 200 top 40. His collaborative mixtape Rogerville with fellow Mobile rapper NoCap showed the chemistry those two have, and NoCap showed up again on "Thang for You", the single from Rylo's second album Been One (2023). That record pushed into the Billboard 200 top ten and gave him his first Billboard Hot 100 entry as a lead artist, a proper step up from the guest run that included EST Gee's "5500 Degrees" alongside Lil Baby and 42 Dugg.
