SadSvit is the project of Ukrainian post punk artist Bohdan Rozvadovskyi, and the name says a lot about the vibe: it blends the English word "sad" with the Ukrainian "svit" (world), giving you "the sad world". Rooted in the moody, atmospheric tradition of The Cure and Joy Division, he sings in Ukrainian and records under his own steam as a songwriter and producer. His breakthrough moment came in an unexpected way. During the Battle of Mariupol in April 2022, the Azov Regiment released a video called "Defenders of Mariupol" set to his song "Cassette", which went viral on Telegram and shot the track to the top of Spotify's Viral 50 and the Shazam Top 200. The song later appeared on the soundtrack of the Ukrainian video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, sending it back to the top of the Ukrainian Spotify charts. His discography now spans several albums, including Cassette (2021), Неонова мрія (2023) and Цвіт магнолії (2024).
