SahBabii built his reputation on a mixtape recorded with a broken microphone in his brother's bedroom. That project, S.A.N.D.A.S., dropped in 2016 and contained the track 'Pull Up wit ah Stick' featuring Loso Loaded, a song that went viral from a 15 second Instagram clip and eventually racked up over 70 million views on WorldStarHipHop. The buzz was big enough to attract Young Thug, T Pain, Fetty Wap, Wiz Khalifa, and Lil Wayne for remixes, and it landed SahBabii a reported two million dollar deal with Warner Bros. His style sits in trap territory but with a distinctly surreal edge, something Complex captured when describing his 2020 album Barnacles as having a 'dreamlike sound' with 'surreal production and off kilter vocals.' He followed that up with Do It For Demon in 2021, his first album recorded on professional equipment, dedicated to a late cousin. In late 2024 he released Saaheem, a studio album named after his real name, Saaheem Valdery, which folded in his 2023 single 'Lost All My Feelings.'
