Saliva built their reputation on a sound that sits right at the intersection of nu metal, rap metal and hard rock, coming out of Memphis, Tennessee with a chip on their shoulder and a knack for anthems that sound at home in arenas and sports broadcasts alike. Their breakthrough came with Every Six Seconds, which put singles like "Click Click Boom" and "Your Disease" all over rock radio and even landed them spots on The Fast and the Furious soundtrack. The follow up, Back into Your System, pushed them further, hitting No. 19 on the Billboard 200 and producing "Always", which climbed to No. 1 on the Modern Rock Chart. Songs like "Click Click Boom" and "Ladies and Gentlemen" became fixtures at NFL games and WWE events, a connection the band wore proudly. Blood Stained Love Story matched Back into Your System's chart peak, and its lead single "Ladies and Gentlemen" hit No. 2 on the Mainstream Rock Chart. The band has been nominated for six Grammys and taken home an MTV Music Video Award. With guitarist Wayne Swinny's passing in 2023, no original members remain, though the band has continued releasing music, most recently with the album Revelation that same year.
