Sam Gellaitry

About

Also known as: Sam Gallaitry, Sam Gellaitry + DTMX

Scottish producer Sam Gellaitry built his reputation on SoundCloud before landing a deal with XL Recordings at 18, and his trajectory since then has been quietly impressive. His work sits at the crossroads of future bass, electronica and trap, and his three Escapism EPs from 2015 to 2017 cemented him as someone worth paying close attention to. A fun wrinkle: he has synaesthesia and actually sees key signatures as colours, which feeds directly into how he constructs his tracks. He performed at Coachella in 2017, had a song land in a Super Bowl Diet Coke ad in 2018, and went on to collaborate with PinkPantheress, who called him a genius level producer. He has also made beats for Don Toliver and Masego. His debut studio album Anywhere Here Is Perfect arrived in late 2025, and recent uploads show a collab with Toro y Moi, one of his own stated influences, so the project seems to be keeping good company.
