About
SANAM built their reputation by breathing new life into classic Bollywood tracks, turning beloved old Hindi songs into fresh, polished recordings that racked up massive numbers on YouTube. The Mumbai based quartet of Sanam Puri, Samar Puri, Venkat Subramaniyam and Keshav Dhanraj rose to become one of India's top 10 independent YouTube channels by 2016, making them one of the biggest music acts on the Indian digital scene at the time. Beyond covers, SANAM have original work to their name too, including a composition for The Amazing Spider Man 2 and a collaborative track with A R Rahman through YouTube's Jammin project. Lead vocalist Sanam Puri also crossed into Bollywood playback singing, lending his voice to songs from films like Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and Hasee Toh Phasee. Their YouTube uploads of classic gems like Gulabi Aankhen and O Mere Dil Ke Chain show exactly why fans keep coming back.
