About
Sem Jansen is a Dutch singer songwriter who won the Hit the Road competition, and he has spent a good stretch of his career as half of a duo with guitarist Leif de Leeuw, a six time winner of the title Best Blues Rock Guitarist of the Benelux. Together they have toured Europe, America and China. Their music leans on storytelling songs and old school country, mixed with unexpected takes on material by heroes like Jackson Browne. Onstage they swap between guitars, mandolin and pedal steel, and the mood can shift from raw blues to a hushed country tale. Their album From A Living Room was recorded in Sem's own living room, which says a lot about the intimate, stripped back feel they go for.
