About
Sendebibu is an intergenerational platform rooted in Afro Curaçaoan culture, built around reconnecting Caribbean communities and their diaspora with ancestral practices, knowledge and relationships. A central focus is tambú, the traditional Curaçaoan rhythm and ritual form, which Sendebibu treats as a living thread rather than a museum piece. Their events blend community gathering, conversation, food and film screenings with live tambú performance and broader Caribbean and diasporic sounds. The guiding principle is sharing culture from its genuine source, resisting watered down or commercialised versions. It is a space where creative dialogue and collective memory go hand in hand.
