About
Also known as: Sevaio Mook
Sevn Alias, the Amsterdam rapper born as Sevaio Mook, built his sound growing up in Amsterdam West surrounded by North African youth, which left a clear mark on his style. He even dropped Moroccan Arabic words into his lyrics, like the title of his 2016 gold single "Kifesh", the Arabic word for "why". Signed to the Rotterdam Airlines label, he released mixtapes and albums that pushed him into the Dutch rap mainstream, with a breakthrough session at 101Barz in the summer of 2015 helping put him on the map. Beyond music, he appeared as the character Stille in the Videoland series Mocro Maffia from 2018 to 2020, one of the most talked about Dutch crime dramas. A devoted AFC Ajax fan, he released the single "Herres" as a tribute to the club. In 2023 he announced he was wrapping up his career, and on 24 November that year he put out what he called his final album.
