sewer.FM is a mysterious pirate radio station operating, conceptually at least, from somewhere deep in the sewer systems beneath Amsterdam. The project leans into absurdist world building, pairing its underground fiction with live radio show formats and a sound that orbits gloopcore, rat style beats and digital slime pop. Think experimental, internet adjacent music with a deliberately grimy aesthetic. The station collaborates with the Dutch Belgian collective bitcrush fanclub, a crew of multidisciplinary artists united by a love of digital music and experimental pop. Their shared events blend live music with mini performances, visual art expositions and fashion, making sewer.FM more of a multimedia experience than a straightforward DJ night. Genres in the mix include hyperpop, experimental beats and gabber.
