About
Shouse are an Australian New Zealand duo made up of Jack Madin and Ed Service, and their whole thing revolves around communal energy, big choirs, and that warm, participatory house music feeling. Their 2017 single "Love Tonight" started life as a warehouse session in Brunswick where they gathered a room full of mates, amateur singers, and Melbourne underground scene regulars to lay down the vocals. The track barely registered at first, then completely exploded in 2021 after remixes from Oliver Huntemann, Vintage Culture, and David Guetta sent it onto charts across Europe. That momentum turned into a proper career relaunch. They performed at Paris Fashion Week, collaborated with Jason Derulo on "Never Let You Go" in 2022, and teamed up again with Guetta for "Live Without Love" in 2023. Their music consistently leans into the idea of togetherness, something they credit to Victor Turner's concept of communitas. In 2024 they staged "Shouse Communitas" at St Paul's Cathedral in Melbourne, and their debut studio album Collective Ecstasy is on the way.
