About
Also known as: Kwon Min-sik, Young Hot Yellow, 권민식, 식케이
Sik K built his name on a melodic style that blurs the line between rapping and singing, and he has always resisted being boxed into traditional hip hop categories. The Seoul born rapper first caught people's attention on Show Me the Money 4 in 2015, then showed up as a featured artist on Jay Park's album WORLDWIDE alongside BewhY and Ugly Duck. His debut EP Flip followed in 2016, the same year he was touring Europe as part of the Korean hip hop collective Yelows Mob. He spent several years on Jay Park's H1GHR Music label before going independent in 2023 and founding his own outfit, KC, short for Kwonminsik Company. He has picked up recognition from both the Korean Hip hop Awards and the Korean Music Awards.
