SikTh carved out a unique place in UK heavy metal, and their influence spread far beyond what their modest discography might suggest. Formed around 1999 to 2000 by guitarist Dan Weller and Graham Pinney, the band brought together a distinctive lineup featuring dual vocalists Mikee W Goodman and Justin Hill, bassist James Leach, and drummer Dan 'Loord' Foord. They released three EPs and two albums internationally, building a devoted following in the UK, US, and Japan. The Guardian credited them, alongside Swedish band Meshuggah, as founders of the djent movement in 2011. After splitting in 2008, they reformed in 2014 and wasted no time getting back out there, touring Germany, Japan, Nepal, and Britain, and appearing at the BIG69 festival in Mumbai, even landing a feature in the Indian edition of Rolling Stone.
