About
In 2024, conductor John Eliot Gardiner founded Springhead Constellation, a collective that brings together music ensembles, creative artists and makers from across disciplines. The collective's two main groups, the Constellation Ensemble and the Constellation Choir, tour worldwide with ambitious, multidisciplinary concerts aimed at audiences of all generations and backgrounds. Their programme "Once as I remember" draws on centuries old traditions to explore the deep human emotions embedded in sacred and secular music from the past. Threading together themes of memory, longing and transcendence, the concert weaves choral and instrumental works into something that feels both historically grounded and alive in the present.
