About
Slut have been quietly doing their thing since 1994, making English language indie rock from the unlikely base of Ingolstadt, Bavaria. They built up a solid run of albums through the late 90s and early 2000s, and in 2002 two of their singles actually charted on the DAC: Easy to Love reached No. 8 and Time Is Not A Remedy hit No. 18. Not bad for a band who once lived and recorded in a castle near their hometown. Their catalog covers a lot of ground, from early records like Interference and Lookbook through to a full Threepenny Opera covers album in 2006 and a collaboration with author Juli Zeh on Corpus Delicti in 2009. Alienation came out in 2013, and they kept things moving with the single For the Soul There Is No Hospital in 2020, followed by Talks Of Paradise in 2021. A band with genuine longevity and a stubborn commitment to their own lane.
