Snow White's Poison Bite built their identity around horror punk theatrics with a post hardcore punch, branding their sound as "More than just Horror Punk" while critics sometimes filed them closer to proto nü metal. The Finnish band, founded in Joensuu in 2006 around UK born frontman Allan Cotterill, went through a dramatic lineup collapse in 2011 when three of four members walked out at once, leaving Cotterill to rebuild almost from scratch. He did exactly that, landing a deal with Victory Records and releasing "Featuring: Dr. Gruesome and the Gruesome Gory Horror Show" in 2013 to largely positive reviews, with critics noting its bursts of energy and pop punk hooks that crash into heavy breakdowns. Cotterill writes all the music and lyrics himself, which gives the project a consistent, uncompromising vision throughout. The band called it quits in November 2018, with Cotterill moving on to a solo project called TH13TEENTH.
