About
Also known as: Mladen Solomun
Solomun built his reputation as one of electronic music's most distinctive voices through deep, funky house with emotionally charged vocals and euphoric melodies. The Bosnian German DJ and producer, born Mladen Solomun, founded his Hamburg based label Diynamic in late 2005, a name that says it all: Do It Yourself. His 2011 remix of Noir & Haze's "Around" was named Remix of the Year by Resident Advisor, and Mixmag crowned him DJ of the Year in 2012, kicking off a run of recognition that has kept his name near the top of industry polls ever since. His Ibiza residency Solomun +1 at Pacha became one of the island's most talked about weekly nights, and his reach extends into unexpected places. In 2018 he played himself as a resident DJ inside Grand Theft Auto Online, and his "Customer is King" music video was filmed entirely within the GTA V engine. He has kept releasing music too, with tracks like "Tuk Tuk" featuring ÄTNA and the solo cut "Home" among his more recent output.
