About
Somethin' Fresh is a live band from the south of the Netherlands that has been playing soul, funk and disco for around forty years. It started with brothers Charles and Ferry Tanamal and American musician Eric Powers, with Monyka out front as the lead vocalist. The group describes itself as one big family, which says something about how long this lineup of friends has stuck together. Over the decades they've turned plenty of soul parties into proper spectacles, and they've played stages all over the country, including Paradiso and Marcanti Plaza in Amsterdam, Soullive at Poppodium 013, W2 in Den Bosch and Soulcity in Eindhoven. The sound is tight grooves, feelgood energy and a real sense of fun on stage.
