Son Little

About

Son Little, the stage name of Philadelphia's Aaron Earl Livingston, makes music that sits somewhere between soul, blues, folk, and hip hop, and he writes and produces most of it himself. His self titled debut album on Anti Records in 2015 put him on the map, and an NPR Tiny Desk Concert that December helped him reach a much wider audience. That same year, NPR flagged him as a top artist to watch in modern R&B and soul. He also picked up a Grammy for Best American Roots Performance as a producer on Mavis Staples' EP Your Good Fortune. His discography has kept growing steadily since. Albums like Aloha and Like Neptune earned coverage from Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and NPR, and his tracks have shown up in TV placements ranging from FX's Atlanta to ESPN documentaries. He has shared stages with Leon Bridges and Kelis, played Bonnaroo and the Montreal Jazz Festival, and popped up as a featured vocalist on records by The Suffers, Che Noir, and the El Michels Affair and Black Thought collaboration Glorious Game. His latest album, Cityfolk, came out in early 2026.
